A Poetry Workshop with Lorna Crozier at Isle of the Arts Festival on Gabriola Island
Why Poetry Matters
Work with award-winning poet Lorna Crozier to understand why the world would be a lesser place without poetry, and humans would suffer if poetry were not part of our lives. You’ll also consider the pragmatic: why choose one word over another, how images exert an uncanny power, and how metaphor connects us with the unsaid and the spiritual. You’ll leave with at least one poem and ideas for more. For both experienced poets and those who have simply loved words all your life. All are welcome.
Don’t miss Lorna Crozier reading at the Literary Launch!
Friday, April 7, 2017 | 1 pm – 4 pm | Gabriola Commons | $30 | ages | Maximum 18 participants
Materials to bring: notebook, pen
